On Sunday Steve and I flew into Ontario, California, got a rental car and drove to the ocean. We drove to Newport beach and then drove down the Pacific Coast Highway to Laguna Beach where we stopped to go swimming at Crystal Cove State Park, it was a blast! The temperature was in the upper 70s, it was a little hazy in the morning, but it cleared up by afternoon and we got to enjoy the beautiful mild Southern California weather! We had tons of fun, had a little picnic on the beach, swam in the ocean, and then drove back to the airport and flew home. We left at 7 am and were back home by 8 that night. It was soo much fun, and the most relaxing day we have had for a long time, and well deserved especially since Steve starts the toughest semester of his college career today. It was the perfect ending to summer! We might do it again next week!
The beach we normally go to- Lake Tahoe
While we were flying, Steve said we should flying over Yosemite soon, we looked out the window and right then, sure enough, we were flying over Yosemite, Half Dome was underneath us, but you can see El Capitan in the pictures, it's on the right side of the canyon.

Those rich people houses are way too close together.
Instead of going to California, you should come see me, Carl, Abigail, and Bryant. By the way, I think it's an Aston Martin, my guess is a Vantage. But I'm not 100% sure. It's not my car though.
Leslie, you are right, it is an Aston Martin, I just went to their website to check and sure enough, it is, but I think it is the DB9! And now that you said it, I looked at the picture again, and can totally see their little logo with the wings on the back.
It looks like you had a fun day. Those flowers in the tree are beautiful. I have no idea what they are. Reminds me of a passion flower. But it is a vine.
Geeze you guys have a lot of fun!! That's awesome. I'm totally jealous that you went to Cali. Ben and I have been talking about going scuba diving one of these days, either in Cali or Florida, but no plans as of yet. BTW, that car is a Bently :)
