Screwed up my blog... :(

So in my recent quest to change my background and stuff I screwed up my blog and accidentally erased these little things that I discovered are called widgets... so I accidentally deleted all of the stuff about us and our pictures and everything, sad, but I am too tired and unmotivated to fix it right now, it just really sucks that I screwed it all up and deleted stuff accidentally, and then to try to fix it back I tried to "revert" to my original settings but that just put it back on the boring background almost everyone has. Oh well, thats what I get for picking a stupid background anyways. Maybe I should take my sister Heather's offer and have her help me with the html code. Back in high school I used to be able to html fairly well by copying what other people did and including my own sizes, websites, colors etc, but it's been so long I don't think I can anymore. sad, sad, sad. I should go to bed anyways.

Seattle...

Seattle was okay. I am not in the mood to post too much about it right now. If we get our digital camera back (Hertz is supposedly going to mail it to us) then I will post pictures from Olympic National Park, we went to the Hoh Rainforest. In the meantime the rest of our pictures were taken with a couple of disposable cameras, so we have to get the film devloped before we can post any pictures. Sadness... Seattle is scary at night. Our hotel was a little "bootsy" as Steve puts it. Most of Seattle seemed "bootsy" because we arrived in the city very late at night. We wish we had just spent the whole trip at Olympic National Park and the wonderful city of Port Angeles. But we did do a few fun things. More on it later, right now I am still at the point where I kinda feel like the trip just really sucked a lot and it was really depressing, but it wasn't really as bad as Steve and I are thinking it was. I will post some pictures very quickly thanks to google search and whatever website I put under each picture.http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Hoh_Rain_Forest_Maples.JPG

Leslie Tagged Me!

10 Things Most People Don't Know About Me
1. I am afraid of ducks, and seagulls, and pretty much all birds that fly at me.
2. I am afraid of falling when I am up high and freak out if someone touches me, but I love rock climbing and being up high.
3. I like to climb trees but am afraid of climbing back down.
4. When I am bored at home I like to poke at my belly and make the baby kick me! Steve thinks I am traumatizing the child and that it is going to come out all stressed and agitated because of this.
5. I used to be really good at swords only on Halo, like really good.
6. My favorite food is Indian!
7. I love chips, and those really cheap cheese puffs.
8. I can't stand milk, it always tastes sour to me unless it is flavored and loaded up with sugar. Chocolate milk=amazing!
9. I can't walk over open grates or sewer covers or anything like that.
10. I have issues going down escalators and often have to wait for as many as five steps to go by before I can hop on.

The rest of this week...

The rest of this week is going to be awesome, busy, very hectic, and super fun!!! Tomorrow (Thursday) I catch a 6:05 a.m. flight to Vegas, then an 8:30 flight to Phoenix for a work meeting. I will be in my meeting all day with the other "Visual Display Associates" from the other stores in the company, and then at 8:20 I get to fly back to Reno (no lay-over thank goodness) to get home shortly after ten. Then on Thursday I will work a normal day. But after work Thursday Steve and I are going to start our vacation!! I got a $25 gift card for Red Lobster/Olive Garden from my work for my birthday, so we are going to go out to eat at Red Lobster, and then we are going to go to the 12:01 showing of Batman. My friend Christy might come with us to Batman which will be really fun. (I was thinking I've never been to the midnight showing of a movie on opening night/day but I think I did go for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory)
Then at 6:40 Friday morning, Steve and I will be leaving for Seattle for the weekend!!! We get in to Seattle at 8:20 and will start a fun filled weekend doing a million different things. Some things we are planning on doing and seeing: The Space Needle, Pike Place Market, the aquarium, the zoo, a Mariner's game, the Underground Tour, Duck boat tour thing, maybe go see the rain forest and rent a car... So expect a blog about our wonderful adventure in Seattle, with lots of pictures!! Oh and then the sad part, on Sunday evening we depart Seattle at 7:55 and get back to Reno and 9:35. But I am still so excited to go on a vacation and do something fun for once! Although, like my sister Erin said about her vacation, "I'm going to need a vacation to recover from my vacation."
Now with all that said, I might want to get a little bit of sleep before I do all of this stuff and before my forever long day tomorrow, I do have to be at the airport at like 5, and wake-up and shower before that... ugh. Why can't I just teleport to Phoenix Star Trek style?

Farmer's Market

This morning I went to the Farmer's Market at Shoppers Square Mall because my friend Christy had a booth there. While there I decided to buy some produce. When I went before work I bought from the booth to the right of Christy four peaches, two for Christy and two for me; and two heirloom tomatoes, one red and one yellow ($5 total). When I went back to visit her again on my lunch break I bought a bag of garlic from the booth on the other side of her ($2 at least 15 cloves of garlic in there), and the people I bought the fruit from gave me a little watermelon! I took pictures, only one peach remained because two were for Christy and I ate the other one for breakfast! I thought it was quite fun, and I love the farmer's market though I won't shop there regularly because even though it supports local farmers and it is better for the environment and all of that stuff, I am on a budget and can't afford to spend five dollars on 4 peaches and two tomatoes! I must say though the garlic was very affordable and I bought it pretty much entirely to help out the farmer. He was an old guy and seemed very nice and a little sad when people walked by and didn't want to buy his garlic. Since I was downwind from his stand I could smell the garlic, it smelled really good, so I gave in and bought some. I didn't actually need it at all since we have two HUGE cloves in the fridge already, so I tried sharing it with my coworkers. Out of 15 cloves I only brought home 8!

Finding people with blogs

So I have been going through my facebook friends, and going through friend's blogs list to find more people I know with blogs. I have compiled a few and added them to my links on the sidebar. If any of you happen to be on the list and don't want to be, let me know and I will take you off. I don't want anyone on there that doesn't want to be or doesn't feel comfortable with a lot of people accessing their blog. And I will just add you to my favorites and check up on you that way, os spy on you as I like to think of it! :)

Being pregnant....

Today being pregnant really sucks. I hate hormones. They make me crazy. I was crying for no reason at work today and really no reason, it was just like the most awful day of my life. And at my second job I turned into total klutz girl, I kept dropping everything. Earlier this week I broke a $250 mirror at work. Whoops, on the positive side I didn't have to hang it up, on the negative side I now have seven years of bad luck *sigh* And now I can't even sleep through the night, I don't really think it's from being pregnant, my belly isn't uncomfortably big yet, maybe it's from the smoke from the stupid California fires, or maybe its just because I'm pregnant. But today Steve and I got new pillows, that was exciting, they were buy one get one for $1 at JcPenney's. Maybe I will sleep better tonight, keep your fingers crossed for me. Oh and heartburn, it has decided to make a comeback on the wonderful holiday that has been the worse day of my life. I haven't even had heartburn for at least a month, grrr. Today has just really kinda sucked for me. I got to work both jobs but I did manage to catch about the last minute of the fireworks at a secret rendezvous with Steve on Windy Hill. One nice high point in my awful day, well really I had at least three high points, Steve brought me a Haagen Daz ice cream bar after his day at the lake with his family, and my old man I worked with tonight was very happy to see me, it's nice to feel appreciated and like people want you around. Sorry to whine, but I needed to!

Hanging out at the river

Sunday night, Steve and I decided to go on a nice walk and enjoy some time together, so we walked down to the river, played in the water, watched a bird catch fish and stuff, and then walked back home. It was probably about 3 miles round trip, but the river is one of my favorite places, and I go there often, in a few minutes I am going there with Steve and Mel for the opening night of Artown, but that will be another post.
A dogwood tree we saw on the way, in full bloom two days before July!!

A beautiful church across the river.

Me in my cute maternity clothes!
Steve! I was so sure he was going to slip and go down the rapid, but he didn't.
My hot husband!
The bird, it is a Black-crowned Night Heron, first time I have seen this so I got to put a check mark by it in my bird book. http://www.birds.cornell.edu/AllAboutBirds/BirdGuide/Black-crowned_Night-Heron_dtl.html

This is just a random couple we saw, I thought they looked cute, so I took a couple of pictures of them.

The Great American Backyard Campout

Saturday night was the Great American Backyard Campout http://www.nwf.org/backyardcampout/ , so Steve and I camped out in our backyard after I got off of work at 10 pm. It was pretty fun, and nice to have an excuse to sleep outside and enjoy our backyard.
